In 2005 Max, in collaboration with Dave Hunt, created an installation for a sound art festival in Riga, Latvia.
The installation consisted of a piece of steel, suspended from a rotating metal boom. The steel was moved over stones placed in a circle, with a contact microphone under each stone. The resulting sound was then processed and amplified through a surround sound system in the space, which followed the position of the boom.
This installation was similar to a previous installation in 2003 in Reading, UK.
